Western Australia Weather

Western Australia is the largest region that extends from North to South and covers almost a third of the whole continent. It houses the famous Coral Coast which is an ideal destination for tourists especially during the holiday season when it is winter and extremely cold in most countries.

The northern region of Western Australia, where Kimberly is located, experiences an extremely hot climate especially during summer months. The hot temperature however tends to bring more rains to this region compared to the southern region. Average yearly rainfall is from 800 mm compared to the 200 mm on the southern region.

Perth, which is located on the southern region of Australia, experiences warm and sunny weather during the months of December to February. Temperature averages from 15°C to 27°C. Winter on the other hand, is from the months of June to August. It can get very cold with temperature averaging 9°C only.

Spring and autumn are usually the best times to visit the southern region of Western Australia since temperature ranges from 19°C to 28°C- not too cold and not too warm. Tourist can enjoy the beach without the searing rays of the sun and a night out in which temperature is not too cold.
