Walpole
Walpole, South West
Walpole is a town located in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, close to the northern part of the Walpole Inlet, from which the town's name was derived. The inlet was named after Captain W. Walpole.
The town gets its water supply from the Walpole River. Its catchment is also a major outdoor destination of the area, with lots of shady spots on its edges providing ideal settings for picnics and barbecues.
There are two more rivers located near Walpole, both providing excellent opportunities for boating, canoeing, and fishing. The Frankland River and the Deep River also has several walking trails along its banks that allow visitors to go animal viewing and bird watching. Read more...
