Busselton is a coastal town located in the South West region of Western Australia. It faces Geographe Bay and is considered as one of the most progressive regions of the country.

The town is the location of the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere, almost 2 kilometers in length. This structure is also considered as a historical landmark, as its construction began in 1841. The present time saw the jetty as the location of an underwater observatory with numerous underwater viewing windows and an interpretive centre.
