Warrnambool is a city located in the southern coast of Victoria, Australia. It is also situated between two river estuaries, the Hopkins which lies east of the city while the Merri is at its west. The place-name was derived from an Aboriginal word that means either `two swamps' or `ample water.'

The city boasts of a rich heritage that is showcased in several of the heritage walks the local government developed and offers to visitors. Guides can be procured at the Warrnambool Visitor Information Centre located on Raglan Parade.
