Richmond is a little town located in Tasmania’s South Coast. It has a population of roughly 880 people and is a great site to discover the rich heritage of the state. It was proclaimed a town back in 1824 by Lieutenant Governor Sorell.
Travelers would take pleasure in visiting the Richmond Bridge. Back in 2005, this bridge was recognized as an exceptional historic site and was even placed in the Australian National Heritage List. The Richmond Bridge is the oldest operational bridge in Australia and was made using sandstones.
