The climate in South Australia is generally described as the Mediterranean type although they do experience hot summer days.  During the summer months, temperature ranges from 20°C to 27°C.  Rainfall however, tend to be generally too small during these months.  The northern part on the other hand, tends to experience more rainfall compared to the southern part due to the summer monsoons.

 Adelaide which is located on the southern part of South Australia experiences a distinct temperature from the northern part.  The temperature and climate is greatly influenced by the land and sea breezes.  During cooler months, which are from May to September, temperature ranges from 7°C to 9°C only.  The summer months are November to January, with temperature ranging from 23°C to 27°C.  These hot temperature times usually extends until March and April and is usually the best times to visit Adelaide.
