Barossa — South Australia

Barossa valley, located 60 kilometers northeast of Adelaide, is a wine paradise of Australia. The lifestyle of about 20,000 people at Barossa Valley resembles a superb blend of European heritage and the fresh vitality of Australia.

The vineyards spreading in many hectares of land is the hallmark of Barossa valley. The Whispering Wall at the Barossa Reservoir is popular for its acoustics. A conversation at one end can be heard perfectly clearly at the other.

The town of Angaston is a must visit for art and craft lovers. The Bethany Art Gallery is an exquisite place to relish some of the best works of artists here. Grand Collingrove Homestead built in 1856 is also a major attraction here.

Some of the other major towns worth visiting at Barossa include Tanunda and Nuriootpa. The popular events and festivals at Barossa include Barossa Vintage Festival, Barossa International Music Festival, Balloon Regatta, Barossa Under the Stars and Gourmet Barossa.
