Noosa and it's surrounds, located in the Sunshine Coast, Queensland are ofter referred to as the heart of the region and are by far it's most popular holiday destination. There are a lot of attractions that visitors can head out to in areas surrounding Noosa. The town of Eumundi is located several kilometers south west of Noosa Heads, along the Bruce Highway. The town is easily accessible with a regular bus service from Noosa. It is an ideal destination for those who wish to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet while on vacation. Eumundi is also famous for its bi-weekly farmer's market, in which the freshest produce are sold ever Wednesday and Saturday. Handicrafts and artworks made by local artisans and artists are also available for purchase. The town is also home to the Australian Nougat Company, which is situated along Tallgum Avenue. All the nougat treats are handmade and made from local ingredients to ensure freshness. Visitors are allowed to view the cooking process and may purchase nougat products on site. This establishment is an ideal destination for visitors who wish to purchase something locally made to bring home.

There are also several wineries located in Eumundi that visitors can visit for some wine tasting. Among those which readily open their cellar doors are the Glastonbury Estate Wines, the Eumundi Winery and Vineyard, and the Maroochy Spring Wines.

Another good destination for visitors is Noosaville, a suburb of Noosa. It is located on the southern banks of the Noosa River. This suburb is home to several establishments meant to serve thousands of visitors who visit annually. There is also no shortage of activities to do in Noosaville and top of the list would be taking a relaxing stroll along the Gympie Terrace, which is right alongside the river. There are also several restaurants, cafes and pubs located in the area, providing delicious light meals and refreshments. The river also provides ideal setting for swimming and boating, with parklands alongside it perfect for picnics and barbecues. The suburb also holds its Noosaville Farmers Market every Sunday, where fresh produce can be purchased.

When visitors want to indulge in the sun and surf, they often head out to Sunrise Beach, located south of Noosa Heads. Whenever the huge ocean waves come rolling in, surfers flock to this particular stretch of white sand. Otherwise, the beach is decidedly less crowded compared to other parts of this coastline. This has made Sunrise Beach ideal for those seeking for a bit of seclusion and privacy.

Right next to Sunrise Beach is Sunshine Beach, which offers the same attractions as the former.

A short walk to the north will bring visitors to Alexandra Bay, which features a clothing optional beach. The beach is also ideal for swimming and picnics. It is part of the Noosa National Park, which features several nature walks that allow visitors to explore this extensive outdoor destination, leading to woodlands, heaths, and forests. The park is also home to numerous birds and animals that lucky visitors may glimpse during their exploration.

One destination that visitors can also explore is the Tewantin district. This is a decidedly urban center, with several shops and commercial establishments calling this area home. Unique attractions include the Big Shell Museum and Hattery located along Gympie Street and the House of Bottles on Myles Street. Tewantin is also rich in history, which can be explored by following the area's heritage walk. Along Pelican Street is the Noosa Regional Gallery, which holds several art exhibitions throughout the year. Tewantin is also the location of the annual Australian Body Art Carnivale, held every September.

There are numerous Noosa Surrounds accommodation options to choose from to ensure all visitors enjoy a comfortable stay.
