
South East Country is a part of Queensland that offers a lot of natural attractions to visitors, composed of national parks and landscaped parks located all over this region.
One is the Japanese Gardens located along West Street in Toowoomba. This attraction is located within the premises of the University of Southern Queensland and is considered as the largest traditional Japanese garden in the country. A similar attraction is located along Perth Street, also in Toowoomba. The Lake Annand Park is ideal for picnics and barbecues, where visitors can also indulge in several water-based recreational activities like boating and fishing. It is also ideal for strolling, bird watching, and bicycling. There is also a fountain located right within the lake itself, another interesting highlight of this park.
Toowoomba also boasts of another unique attraction, the Newtown Park State Rose Garden, which boasts of more than a thousand rose bushes planted and providing a profusion of color and scent to the garden. Located along Taylor Street, the garden was established through the cooperation of the local community and local government. It is part of the effort to promote Toowoomba as the Garden City.

The Girraween National Park is another major outdoor destination in Queensland’s South East Country. Located near the town of Stanthorpe, this national park boasts of the Castle Rock as one of its famous highlights. The Aventine Wines is located along Watters Road in Ballandean and emphasizes on using traditional wine making methods. Another winery that welcomes guests to their cellar is the Bald Mountain Vineyards, situated along Hickling Lane in Wallangarra. This winery boasts of producing award winning wines in several trademarks. In Stanthorpe is the Amberley Edge Vineyard which prides itself in producing high quality wine products. Located along Clark Lane, this winery is located within scenic landscapes, an added bonus to anyone who come visiting.
For the more historically-inclined individuals, a visit to the Pringle Cottage Museum is the ideal activity. Located along Dragon Street in Warwick, the museum is actually composed of several buildings housing antique furnishings and furniture that are more than a century old. Other items showcased within the premises are photographs, agricultural equipment, and personal memorabilia. One highlight of the museum is a cottage that was built in the late 19th century and listed with the National Trust.
