With 14 patrolled Gold Coast beaches, and 25 full time lifeguards the Gold Coast makes for the perfect safe location for a beach holiday, especially for the young ones.
With 57 kilometers of Gold Coast beaches stretching from Rainbow Bay to South Stradbroke Island you are sure to find a beach you will want to call your own. The most popular beach is of course the world famous Surfers Paradise beach, but just as amazing if not more beautiful follows Burleigh Heads, Broadbeach, Main Beach, Mermaid Beach and Nobby Beach.
There are more than 20 surf lifesaving clubs on the Gold Coast and many of the countries top ironmen and women live and train here, so there is always plenty of action at weekend carnivals.
Extreme sun conditions mean, it is always advised that you slip, slop and slap before heading to Gold Coast beaches.
Beaches: Surfers Paradise Beach
Its no wonder how Surfers Paradise got its name.
You only have to take one glimpse at Surfers Paradise to see how the beach is loved by surfers and all. As the tourist meca of the Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise is swarmed day in & day out with tourist from around the globe and with never a bad season, it’s no wonder why.
Due to the high population that visit Surfers Paradise beach each day, it is not recommended as a fishing spot, but it is highly recommended as a chill out zone after a long day shopping in surfers paradise, read a book as your feet sink within the hot golden sands or relax under the shade of an umbrella, the choice is yours.
As a popular walking strip you will see make people going for their daily stroll or brisk walk. You might even see some ironmen training. Just a short stroll to the shops, nightlife and nightclubs, surfers paradise makes for the perfect day out.

Beaches: Broadbeach Beach
Close to Surfers Paradise is Broadbeach which is beautifully simple and laid back. Broadbeach beach is not as crowded as Surfers, but still a major holiday destination.
With boardwalk activates and a fantastic walking track, it is a favorite for the fitness enthusiast and dog walkers. Please note, dogs are permitted on the board walk but $150 spot fin will be charged if the dog is within 200 mts of the flagged areas or off a leash.
Fantastic BBQs facilities guarante larger gatherings of friends and families enjoying their weekend and more than often playing cricket at Kurrawa Park. A large children’s playground is also there for hours of enjoyment for the children. This strip is also the beach markets that 1st Sunday of every month and is across the road from the Oasis Shopping Centre.

Beaches: Main Beach
With the smallest amount of swell from all Gold Coast beaches, Main Beach is a favorite spot for Gold Coast surfers. Featuring wide open boardwalks and surfing views from the car park, Main Beach got its name from being the ‘main beach’ of the Gold Coast when the Gold Coast was first being established.
The Main Beach surf Life saving club is a popular Gold Coast club with active members young and old. Close to the Yatch Club and trendy Tedder Ave, Come to Main beach and have a great day.

Beaches: Burleigh Beach
Unquestionably the most beautiful of all Gold Coast beaches, Burleigh Heads Beach has absolutely everything one could ask for to get the maximum enjoyment from a day at the beach. From beach side cafes where the water comes to the door, to an affordable Kiosk for the kids, Burleigh Heads beach really does cater for everyone… and when I say everyone, I mean especially the kids!
With fantastic playground facilities and large BBQ area Burleigh Heads Beach sweeps down from Burleigh Point where you can see the most breathtaking view all the way back to Surfers Paradise all the way to Nobby Beach providing activities and facilities along the entire way.
The North Burleigh SLCS is a fantastic spot for a few drinks, try your luck at the pokies or have a fabulous meal while enjoying live entertainment. With water temperatures of around 24 degrees celsius and the waves crashing off the Burleigh headland rocks, Burleigh Heads is indubitable the best Gold Coast surfing spot.
