Darling Harbour is a locality situated within the Sydney Central Business District, administered by the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority. This largely commercial area was named after Ralph Darling, who was governor of New South Wales during the early 19th century.

The Chinese New Year also heralds the Dragon Boat Races on the harbor. Lasting for two days, the event is also accompanied by dragon dances and Chinese food offerings on the streets of Darling Harbour.
