
Salamander Bay is a suburb of Salamander Bay Local Government Area in New South Wales. Located within its Hunter Region, this suburb is named after its nearby bay, which in turn, was named after the sailing vessel ‘Salamander’ that arrived in the area in 1791, carrying convicts. Nearby area include the Soldiers Point and Nelson Bay.

Apart from these runs, the park also features a mini golf course, train rides within the park, a maze, and an indoor rock climbing facility for the more rigorous individuals. The site also incorporates several table gaming facilities.
