The Sunshine Coast keeps on shining throughout the year with its annual events. Some of the prominent Sunshine Coast Annual Events include:

Schoolies or Schoolies Week is an old Australian tradition of high-school graduates (schoolies) enjoying their weeklong holidays at the end of their final exams during November-December. The Sunshine Coast is one of the prime venues for this revelry, attracting tens of thousands of Schoolies.

Mooloolaba Triathlon is an annual sporting activity with swimming, cycling, and running as prime attractions. On similar lines is Noosa Triathlon with same sporting disciplines and attracting large number of participants. The famous Boulia Camel Races held annually every third weekend in July at Boulia Rodeo Grounds, attracts large number of visitors from around the world. The Winton Camel Races held in the late July at Winton Showgrounds is also a major crowd puller and attracts a number of participants. The Ross Cup Race Meeting is a five-race program on Cox Plate Day and held in October. The Birdsville Races is another important athletics event held during August-September.

If you are music lover, you are in for a treat at the Sunshine Coast. The National Country Music Muster, held at Amamoor Creek State Forest Park during the last week of every August, epitomizes the true spirit of Country Australia. Dance the night away in Blackall B ‘n’ S Ball and Ute Competition during September at Blackall Showgrounds.

The arts and crafts lovers have The Discover Sarina Festival showcasing Sarina’s art and craft to the entire world during the months of May-June.

The traditional The Harry Redford Cattle Drive during May-June brings to light the outback way of lifestyle in Australia.

For culture lovers, there’s biennial Apple and Grape Harvest Festival at Stanthorpe in March and Granite Belt Spring Wine Festival Season at Stanthorpe during September-November. The second Sunday of September is reserved for National Bilby Day Celebrations.
